Managing Editor, International Zoo Yearbook
Fiona is the Managing Editor of the International Zoo Yearbook (IZY) and a member of the Science Resources & Meetings team. IZY is an international forum for the exchange of information on the role of zoos and aquariums in the conservation of biodiversity, species and habitats. Investigative and data-collection work into the biology and behaviour of wild animals is increasingly dependent on co-ordinated effort and shared results between all institutions engaged in the study and preservation of wildlife. IZY provides a best-practice platform for the wild-animal management work being done by zoos and aquariums, and other conservation practitioners. Fiona has a BSc Biological Sciences (Hons) and trained as a scientific publisher at Blackwell Scientific Publications (now Wiley).
