Who are our experts?
Dr Andrew Terry – Director of Conservation and Policy
Leading our Conservation and Policy Directorate, he oversees the delivery of our science-led conservation across major ecosystem programmes worldwide, with the goal of creating new and innovative approaches that engage future conservationists who have traditionally not been included in the process.
Georgina Chandler – our Head of Policy and Campaigns
Driving efforts to ensure that conservation science informs decision-making at local, national and international levels, Georgina works across government and NGOs to advance policies that support nature recovery, climate resilience and sustainable development, helping to translate evidence into action for wildlife and people.
Dr Robin Freeman – Head of our Indicators and Assessments Unit
Leading work on global biodiversity monitoring and measurement. His expertise spans conservation science, data analytics and biodiversity indicators, including the Living Planet Index.
James Pilkington – our Sustainable Finance Programme Manager
Leading our sustainable business finance team, he's working with some of the world’s largest financial institutions to incorporate nature into decision-making, and also with our field teams and local partners to finance the restoration of species and ecosystems.
Bridget Adams – our Senior Sustainable Finance Analyst
Specialising in nature finance and conservation investment, Bridget develops innovative financing approaches that support biodiversity conservation and deliver benefits to local communities.
Fridah Mutili – our Community Technical Manager in Kenya
Fridah oversees community work on the border of Tsavo National Parks, working on livelihood development, human-wildlife mitigation and community banking, helping to identify opportunities for stronger nature financing.
Cat Hickey – our Head of Conservation Education
Cat is a passionate advocate for inclusive and accessible conservation education. She has transformed our education policy to strengthen community partnerships, break down barriers for underrepresented groups pursuing careers in conservation, and champion access to nature as a statutory right for all students.
Our Youth Advisory Board
The ZSL Youth Advisory Board was launched in summer 2023 to bring youth voices to the forefront of shaping our organisation's future. Comprising twelve members aged 16-25, the board advises us on incorporating the needs and perspectives of young people into all their work.
