James has more than 10 years’ experience working with communities and organisations around the world to protect their natural and cultural capital through working with the private sector. He currently leads ZSL’s work on sustainable finance, working with some of the world’s largest financial institutions to incorporate nature into decision-making; and also with our field teams and local partners to finance the restoration of species and ecosystems. He is committed to creating high integrity, community-led businesses and revenue generating projects that can make a significant contribution to closing the biodiversity financing gap.
