Take on the Great North Run
10 September 2023
The Great North Run is the world’s biggest half marathon. The iconic event starts in Newcastle upon Tyne, taking you across the famous Tyne Bridge towards the seafront finish line in South Shields, all televised on the BBC. It has an incredible atmosphere, with people from all over the UK taking part to raise money for causes they care about.
Fly like a bird in a tandem skydive
Feel the full force of flying through the clouds from over 10,000ft at up to 125mph! It’s a truly unforgettable experience. A skydive might be something you’ve had on your bucket list of a while. If you decide to take the jump, you can raise money for wildlife conservation at the same time.
London to Brighton Cycle
10 September 2023
The London to Brighton Cycle is an incredible day for both solo first-time riders and velo enthusiast teams, with a picturesque route through the English countryside, followed by a climb up Ditchling Beacon before gliding down to Brighton Seafront. You’ll be surrounded by over 5,000 other participants, who in years past have raised over £1million for causes close to their heart.
Hackney Half Marathon
21 May 2023
Dash through East London for ZSL in the Hackney Half marathon, with vibrant street art and entertainment on course. The Hackney Half is a hugely popular race in the running calendar. You’ll run past the famous Hackney Empire, through Broadway Market and alongside London Fields, as well as covering a few miles in the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Oxford Half Marathon

The Oxford Half marathon is returning to the historic streets of Oxford in October 2023. Enjoy a fast and flat 13.1mile route through the city of dreaming spires, speeding through a tour of world-famous museums, universities, parks and more, while raising money for wildlife conservation!
Inflatable 5k Guildford

The world's largest and best inflatable obstacle run is coming to Guildford. The 2023 edition of the Inflatable 5k course has got even bigger and bouncier, now with less running and more obstacles and music zones. This gigantic obstacle run is suitable for everyone aged 5 or older, and any athletic ability.

17 and 18 June 2023
Take on the world’s largest and best inflatable obstacle run. This family-friendly event in St Albans is suitable for participants aged 5+. Everyone is welcome, and it’s a fantastic day out with friends or family!

Take on your own challenge
There are lots of ways you can fundraise for wildlife, from a sponsored animal dress up day to an animal-themed yoga marathon – the possibilities are endless.
Becoming a fundraiser is simple, and fun! Just follow these steps to get going:
- First things first – choose your challenge! Check out our A-Z of ideas in our fundraising guide or come up with your own animal-themed fundraiser.
- Set up your fundraising page on JustGiving and click on the ‘start fundraising’ button.
- Follow the steps to set up and personalise your page. Include a photograph, share your story, and don’t forget to set a target – pages with targets raise 46% more on average.
- Roar loud and proud. Ask your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to support you. Share your fundraiser on social media, WhatsApp and email – people love to hear about the good things you’re doing.
- Let’s get going! Put on your best animal outfit and get started with your challenge. Make sure to take pictures and tag us on social media – we’d love to see what you get up to.
Every single penny you raise will make a real difference in supporting our animals and our worldwide conservation work.
