Animal management workshops and insights
We work specifically with tutors at FE and HE colleges teaching Animal Management, Animal Science and other related subjects to help upskill and provide up-to-date industry insights.
Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offer for FE and HE staff includes:
- Industry Insight Days - these themed days include behind-the-scenes tours, talks with ZSL experts and practical activities.
- Keeper Shadowing Days - spend a full day (08.00 - 17.00, or 16.00 in the winter) with a keeping team getting stuck into caring for our zoo animals.
- Bespoke CPD - we can tailor the content of the day around the needs of your staff.
We aim to give FE and HE tutors and technical staff the opportunity to work alongside zookeepers and learn current practice and animal-management techniques from our world-leading experts. Our CPD days aim to deliver up-to-date knowledge, practice and techniques to support teaching of zoo-based modules at colleges and universities.
