Badger Surveying Volunteers 2024

Location: Various sites across Cornwall

Eligibility to apply to this role: 

  • You must be aged 18 years or older.

The Zoological Society of London work with local landowners, farmers and stakeholder groups to develop a way to control the spread of bovine TB in badgers across Cornwall. Our badger vaccination project is aiming to facilitate farmers who wish to control bovine tuberculosis in their wildlife population and research the potential for badger vaccination to contribute towards the control of bovine tuberculosis. We provide surveys and badger vaccination to landowners who sign up to our project on a voluntary basis. More information on this project, can be found here

 

We are looking for volunteer support with badger vaccination between May and November 2024 for 2 - 3 days per week during the fieldwork season. This role is best suited to people based in Cornwall as we are not able to pay for extended travel and accommodation expenses.
