Our brand new collection is now available in our Zoo shops and online to celebrate ZSL’s 200th anniversary.
2026 is a big year for ZSL – we’re celebrating our 200th anniversary. That’s two centuries of pioneering science, global conservation, and inspiring connections between people and wildlife.
Our anniversary brings with it feelings of nostalgia, treasured memories of visiting our Zoos over the years, and an ignited passion to conserve wildlife for the future.
To mark our momentous milestone, we’ve created a brand new, exclusive, collection of commemorative gifts inspired by our heritage, but with a modern makeover. The charming keepsakes can be shopped as the full range online, with a curated selection available to buy at both London and Whipsnade zoo gift shops. Products range from £3.50 up to £25.00.
Every purchase from our online shop directly supports our vital conservation work to restore wildlife around the world.
Don’t forget: Gold members, Patrons and Fellows receive a 10% discount in our Zoo shops and online.

What items feature in our commemorative gifts collection?
The vibrant artwork has been carefully applied across a variety of products, to create stunning pieces, which are bespoke and exclusive to ZSL.
Each item can make a personal, practical and thoughtful gift for a loved one (or for yourself), all while supporting our vital conservation work around the world.
Gifts for on the go
Take a piece of ZSL with you wherever you go with our selection of stylish travel mugs, all of which feature our 200 years of wildlife logo on them for the perfect souvenir of our bicentenary. Plus, you’ll find premium notebooks, magnetic bookmarks, and vibrant pocket mirrors in the collection.
Warm and inviting home decor
There’s also a fabulous selection of ceramic mugs and coasters, plus magnet sets to customise your home. Kickstart your day with a morning coffee, or enjoy a cosy evening surrounded by our striking designs.
What animals are featured in the new collection?
The collection features celebrated species that have been important throughout our history, including:
Okapis
The okapi is an elusive animal native to the Democratic Republic of Congo that was first discovered by ZSL fellow, Sir Harry Johnston in 1901. London Zoo is home to two okapis – find them in our Into Africa area of the Zoo.
Elephants
Did you know, the word 'Jumbo' actually originates from the name of our famous 19th-century African elephant at London Zoo? Today, we’re home to a herd of Asian elephants at Whipsnade Zoo.
Butterflies
We have much-loved butterfly houses at both of our Zoos, and butterflies also remind us of an influential woman in our history: Evelyn Cheesman - the first woman in a curatorial post at ZSL. Evelyn became the first female Insect House Curator in 1920, giving her the opportunity to pursue her passion for bugs.
Tigers
A key focus of much of our conservation work, and we also are home to an Endangered Amur tiger at Whipsnade Zoo and Critically Endangered Sumatran tigers at London Zoo. A Sumatran tiger also features on our commemorative £2 coin, to represent our work protecting big cats around the world.
What architecture is featured in the new collection?
A lot has changed across our Zoos throughout our history, but much of our architecture is listed and remains today as an important reminder of our history, and how animal best practice has developed over the years.
The Lubetkin penguin pool
This iconic Grade I listed structure at London Zoo is a fantastic example of 1930s International Modernism. No longer home to penguins (you’ll now find them in Penguin Beach – England’s largest penguin pool), it remains as a landmark.
You can purchase a penguin pool print, and it also features in our Penguin Garden coaster.
The Mappin Terraces
These rugged mountains at London Zoo were built between 1913 and 1914 and stand proudly as a reminder of an innovative design that made use of new engineering techniques. Spot them in one of our wooden postcard designs.
