Generations at the Zoo
In 2024, we launched the History Hive project, inviting people from around the world to share their memories, photographs and footage of ZSL and its two conservation zoos.
Families opened their albums and film reels to reveal moments of joy, wonder and togetherness - from first zoo visits to cherished days out across generations.
Below is a small selection of the family-filmed footage we were generously given permission to share, capturing personal perspectives of ZSL through the decades.
