As the sun goes does down, the curtain goes up on the most original after-hours event of the summer: Zoo Nights at ZSL London Zoo, every Friday from 2 June to 14 July, between 6pm and 10pm (last entry 9pm).
Live and new for 2017, this is the Zoo as you’ve never seen it before, serving up a unique mix of wildlife and city life that’s just for adults (18+)and only £17.50.
Taking its inspiration from the natural world, Zoo Nights will celebrate bioluminescence – nature’s very own lightshow. And, as night falls over the city, stunning neon effects will transform the Zoo, creating an amazing backdrop for a trip to the Zoo like no other.
Zoo Nights is just for adults, so you’re free to explore the wildlife after hours, taking in fun tours and talks with grown-up themes: mating, death and the gruesome bits – it’s zoology, certificate 18!
And it’s not just our insect house that’ll be buzzing this summer. There’ll also be events dotted throughout the Zoo; you can test your knowledge in Zooniversity Challenge and become an eco-detective in an interactive, forensic trail that shines a light on the illegal wildlife trade.
Along the way you’ll meet street entertainers and stilt walkers and hear from ZSL's experts how Zoo Nights helps us to be a leading light in crucial conservation work worldwide.
When you’ve worked up an appetite, an array of street food vendors offer exciting flavours and unusual dishes from around the globe. This is no ordinary feeding time at the Zoo, and we keep herbivores and carnivores equally happy. There’s also a selection of pop up watering holes; where you’ll also find everything from beers and wines to soft drinks.
Zoo Nights is the unmissable event of the summer, live every Friday from 2 June to 14 July, and tickets are strictly limited. To make sure you don’t miss this chance to see the Zoo in a whole new light, check out the latest tweeting, squawking and chirping on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook.
Please note Gorilla Kingdom, African Bird Safari and the Casson will not be accessible during Zoo Nights.
Please be aware this event is 18+ only and we advise bringing sufficient proof of age for entry and alcohol purchases on site.

An endangered spiny hill turtle has hatched at the Zoo for the first time ever!
The tiny turtle made a timely debut after being born last week - just in time for World Turtle Day. Zookeepers managed to capture the cracking moment the spiny hill turtle emerged from its shell on a time lapse camera.
