Bring your little monsters to see our fantastic beasts this October half term, Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November 2020.
Free downloadable trail
Perfect for families this half term, download a free trail pack to guide your visit and discover the incredible patterns and creative ‘costumes’ of the animal kingdom. Find out why penguins wear ‘tuxedos’ or why an okapi has a stripey bum! What’s more, since it doubles up as a colouring activity, there’s heaps of wild creativity to keep the kids entertained.
Dress to impress
Take inspiration from the wonderful patterns and camouflage of the animal kingdom as we invite visitors of all ages to come dressed up to explore the Zoo: prowl Tiger Territory in stripes and a tail, cover yourself in zebra-like stripes, or if Halloween is more your thing, why not pose as Harry Potter in the Reptile House right where he stood in The Philosopher’s Stone?
Discover fantastic beasts
From poison and claws to camouflage and sharp-toothed jaws, there’s a fascinatingly ghoulish side to nature. Face your fears as you step into the eight-legged world of In with the Spiders, where giant webs will surround you. Or come face-to-face with the so-called ‘ghosts of Madagascar’ at In with the Lemurs. With over 18,000 fantastic animals at London Zoo, we’ve certainly got London’s most ‘beastly’ Halloween day out!
Grim keeper stories
Our zookeepers will be on hand to tell stories of how nature bites back, with Halloween-themed pop-up talks throughout the day.
