
What they look like
Comb ducks feature an interesting speckled pattern on their head, neck and chest, before blending into solid white on their underside. Meanwhile, their back and wings are blue/black in colour.

When mating season comes, the bump on the beak of the male duck grows three times bigger than its normal size.

Mostly grass seeds and grain but also water plants, insects, frogs and fish.
