The Café on the Lake at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is undergoing a major £1.1m redevelopment for summer 2008 to provide more seating, improved kitchen facilities and an altogether better eating experience.

There will be a total of 350 seats. 250 of these will be outside with 150 under a rustic styled roof.

Situated on squirrel monkey lawn, by the show areas.

Open: At the weekend from 10am until half an hour before the Zoo shuts. From February 9th every day from 10am until half an hour before the Zoo shuts.

Seating: Inside for 100 people with ample seating outside

Situated at different locations within the Zoo.
Open: Seasonally, times dependant on weather conditions.
Menu: Each kiosk will offer hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice creams and a hot food item.

Situated on the main concourse at the entrance to the Zoo.
Open: Seasonally, times dependant on weather conditions.
Menu: A quality selection of coffees, light snacks, ice-creams.
Seating: Undercover for 30 people.
