Whipsnade Zoo Community Christmas

2020 has been a year like no other in the Zoo's history, but the community around ZSL Whipsnade Zoo has been so supportive of our work and our calls for support while we had to close, and we are so thankful for this!

As we look forward to Christmas this year, we know it is going to look a little different at the Zoo, but that doesn’t mean there won't be plenty of holiday spirit. And during the festive season we would like to keep the community spirt for Whipsnade zoo going as well. That is why we are asking local people to get creative and install their very own animal themed festive window displays.

In December, we will be using our Twitter channel to highlight the wonderful displays from each of the following areas:

  • Cheddington
  • Dagnall
  • Dunstable
  • Eaton Bray
  • Edlesborough
  • Houghton Regis
  • Kensworth
  • Studham
  • Whipsnade village

So, whether you are just one house, a whole street, a school, a business or a social group we would love you to create your own animal themed festive window displays and send us a picture!

Please email all entries to learning@zsl.org by 3 December.

We’d love you to run an event as part of our community Christmas countdown this year. Please remember that ultimately this is your event and not something formally organised by ZSL. Therefore, you will need to take responsibility for running your event in a safe and legal way including, but not just, compliance with the law in force at the time or Government guidance relating to Covid-19.
