For hairy, scary Halloween fun, families can trick-or-treat themselves to a magical trip to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, for special October half-term event, Boo at the Zoo.
From Saturday 21 to Tuesday 31 October, the animals and people alike will be celebrating all things spooky, with a fang-tastic day out for the whole family to enjoy.
Kicking off the week of fun, children’s TV stars, PJ Masks will be at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo for the weekend of the 21 and 22 October only. As well as completing a PJ Masks Trail to receive a special certificate, visitors will also have the chance to get a photo with Catboy, Gekko and Owlette at intervals throughout the day.
New for 2017, families can get horribly competitive at the monstrously fun, nine-hole Ghastly Golf course. Children and grown-ups can see if they can putt like a peacock or chip like a chimp at the special, open-air mini-golf course, which is making the Zoo its haunted home for Halloween. Open each day and included in the Zoo’s entry price, everyone can try out their spooky swing and see if they can land themselves a batty birdie or an eerie eagle!
Throughout the week, Zoo visitors can experiment with Creepy Crafts, making menacing masks or carving their own petrifying pumpkins, or take a ride on the Eerie Express steam train, where intrepid explorers will climb aboard and join the hunt for six endangered species, including the Philippine eagle, the Asiatic lion and the pangolin.
Animal-lovers who want to get into the Halloween spirit can also experience a whole host of interactive, terrifying talks and devilish demonstrations. Featuring the Zoo’s most fascinating animals, Monster Mythbusters, Ominous Owls and pop-up Bug Talks will amaze even the cleverest little monsters.
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo is dead set to be a spooktacular day out. Join in the fun from Saturday 21 October to Tuesday 31 October.
