Farmyard fun at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is set to launch its brand new children’s farm next month, giving youngsters the chance to get closer to the animals than ever before.

Opening on Saturday 5 April, just in time for the Easter holidays, Hullabazoo Farm is an interactive, up-close adventure, where little ones will be able to meet and greet a whole host of farmyard friends.

Miniature donkeys, Trevor and Tulip, have already arrived in time for the grand unveiling, and are set to be joined by a family of pygmy goats, Gloucester old spot pigs and piglets, sheep and lambs, bunnies,  guinea pigs, ferrets, and in-keeping with Easter, newly-hatched chicks.

Every element of the farm has been specially designed to give children a hands-on experience with the animals who live there – from exploring the pygmy goats’ walk-through home and grooming ponies, to preparing food for the residents.

They’ll also be able to join in with daily interactive talks and activities, including mini keeper sessions, animal handling, and storytelling, with keepers on hand to answer all of their farmyard questions.

Joining ZSL Whipsnade Zoo for the farm’s opening weekend will be Britain’s most famous pig – Peppa. She’ll be meeting and greeting visitors along with brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig.

Hullabazoo Farm joins Hullabazoo Indoor Play and Hullabazoo Adventure Play, all located at the heart of the Zoo and open 364 days of the year.
