Elephant Origami Guinness World Record

Origami elephants at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo

A massive thank you to everyone that made and sent in their origami elephants to help us beat the world record as part of Elephant Appreciation Weekend 2014. We have smashed the world record with over 30,000 now in the display – representing every Asian elephant left in the wild.

The official counting on 21 September recorded 15,682 and we plan a second day of counting in October. We will post an update  with final figures and photos as soon as the results are in.

See more photos on the British Origami Society's Facebook page.

Thanks again to all involved!
