What it looks like: A bright vibrant yellow.

Animal facts:

  • They have a sharp 'scapel' at the base of their tails, which is used for defence.
  • Adults form large schools on the outer reef, whereas juveniles live alone among the coral heads.

What they eat: Algae

Habitat: Inshore coral reefs, protected bay and lagoons.

 

Where they live: Tropical Pacific Ocean.
