All the single ladies…

Love is in the air this February at ZSL London Zoo – sisterly love that is, as all-girl giraffe group Ellish, Margaret and Mollie celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special treat.

Zookeepers treat female giraffe trio at ZSL London Zoo to an all-girl Valentine’s treat

Zookeepers gave the girl squad juicy flowers entwined in a heart-shaped wreath, to mark the annual day of romance.

ZSL giraffe keeper Louise Jackobson said: “Like all girls, our giraffes love to receive a bunch of flowers, especially on Valentine’s Day – although their tasty blooms didn’t last very long!

“Led by queen bee Ellish, the single ladies used their dextrous elongated tongues to tug the pretty petals off the heart-shaped wreath in a matter of moments – just like when they tug vegetation and flowers off the very tops of trees to eat.”

To meet and feed the all-girl trio on a VIP experience purchase a special gift pack for two this Valentines, prices start at just £125 (a 20% saving)
