Komodo dragons are the biggest lizards in the world and our resident Komodo dragon, Ganas, is nothing short of big in personality too!
Arriving before the Zoo opens, join one of our experienced keepers as they take you through their morning routine with Ganas and give you some personal insight into what it’s like to work with this truly unique and incredible species!
You will be experiencing exactly what it's like to be a Komodo dragon keeper! Arriving early at 9am, an hour before the Zoo opens to the public, you will be welcomed into the site and taken across to our Komodo Dragon House to introduce you to Ganas, our resident Komodo dragon.
You’ll get mucked in, see how we train Ganas, make up some enrichment and lay out scent trails, and prepare a big meal for him.
Beginning an hour before the Zoo opens, this is perfect for reptile lovers and adventurers! By the time the Zoo opens for the day, you’ll have a greater insight into our Zoo than anyone. You are welcome to explore the rest of the Zoo for the remainder of the day.
