Discover an array of winged wildlife from the world's second largest continent with our Bird Safari exhibit. Opened in 2004, the Bird Safari replaced some of the old Stork and Ostrich House, part of which is still used today to house species from the exhibit. The area was redesigned to create a larger space for the birds and to increase the visitor experience, with an immersive exhibit taking you into the bird's environment.
The Bird Safari is home to a number of different species, including the Waldrapp ibis, Abdim stork, Fischer's turaco, hammerkop, white-faced tree duck, and the blue-bellied roller.
