What do I need to know?
This event is ideal for those who haven’t taken part in many cycling events before. This is a mixed terrain ride suitable for most bikes; the route encompases sections of roads, cycle paths and trails. Whilst on un closed roads the early start provides a quiet and achievable route for all. Both the 35 mile route and 50 mile route will start at ZSL London Zoo and finish at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. The route will split at a designated point and will be clearly sign posted.
Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event. The sponsorship you raise will help ZSL work for wildlife around the world.

ZSL will also be providing a free shuttle from the finish line to Luton train station. This service will be based on a non bookable first come first serve basis and will operate throughout the day with the final bus leaving at 15.00.
We strongly advise checking with your planned train operator that bikes are allowed on the service you intend on using before travelling - some services require your bike to be booked on in advance.
Cycle for Wildlife
Around the world wildlife is fighting for survival, facing threats such as climate change, habitat loss, illegal wildlife trade and conflict with humans. We are losing incredible animals such as pangolins and rhinos, which are hunted and traded in their millions. All funds raised from ZSL's Bike Ride will help us to care and conserve some of the most wonderful and endangered animals across the world.
