Zoo Nights is back for 2024!

Every Friday from 7 June to 26 July 2024, London Zoo will open from 6pm - 10pm, just for adults! As the sun goes down, join us after hours to see the Zoo in a whole new light without the kids or the crowds.

Grab yourself a tipple from one of our pop-up watering holes and explore the Zoo at dusk. It’s the best time of the day to see some of our animals, as many of them become more active in the evening. Plus, experience some of the rarest and most unique reptiles and amphibians on Earth in our brand-new exhibit The Secret Life of Reptiles and Amphibians.

Find out what our animals really get up to after dark with a Birds and The Bees guided tour*, then learn more about their bathroom habits with The Origin of the Faeces exhibition!

Why not make the evening extra special with a glass of bubbly overlooking our black and white flippered friends at Penguin Beach?*

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, discover our Wild Bites street food market serving up fantastic flavours from across the globe. Packed with some of London’s finest pop-ups, there’s plenty of choice for herbivores and carnivores.

Chill out on the lawns and enjoy your food, surrounded by relaxing music and our incredible animals. And of course, our Zoo shop will be open late for all those must-have purchases and mementos.

If one evening isn’t enough, you can stay the night in the London Zoo lodges* sleeping within a whisker of the lions and spend the following day exploring the Zoo along with a private morning tour.

Zoo Nights is the most unmissable event of the summer. Tickets are strictly limited so don’t hang about! Register your interest below to be among the first to hear when tickets release for this year's event:

What last year's visitors said

  • Cannot recommend this night enough! Had such an amazing time seeing all the animals (with no kids around!) and the atmosphere was great.
  • Food was excellent, atmosphere fun, loads of happy friendly people. Saw loads of animals before their bedtime and it was nice to wander around the zoo when some of the animals were a bit more active than they are in the daytime.
  • We absolutely loved the evening! It was such a refreshing change to visit a zoo without children. The atmosphere was so calm and peaceful, and everyone could enjoy the zoo, letting out their inner child. Excellent experience!

Tickets for Zoo Nights 2024 will release soon. Register your interest above to be one of the first to know when tickets release. Book your tickets before 5 May to take advantage of our early bird discount and save £3 per ticket on any of the first 4 nights.

Please note: Our animals have varying bedtimes throughout the evening but most animals’ bedtimes at Zoo Nights will be from 9pm onwards. We strongly advise arriving with enough time to make the most of the evening and see our animals before they wind down for bed.
