ZSL Fundraising Events Terms and Conditions: These terms apply to the ZSL London Zoo Stampede (spring and September events), Streak for Tigers, Walk of Fire and Ice, Skydive, Brighton Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Vitality London 10,000 and Royal Parks Half Marathon.

Introduction
In entering into any transaction using this website you do so on the basis of the following terms and conditions. The terms and conditions of each transaction type are made up of the specific terms relating to the transaction type and common terms. Please note that more than one set of specific terms may apply to a single transaction and where this is the case you will be entering into a distinct contract for each transaction type. 

E-ticket terms
In purchasing e-tickets for our events you enter into an agreement with the Zoological Society of London, registered charity number 208728 (in this section ‘ZSL’) on these e-ticket specific terms and incorporate the ‘common terms’ on this website applicable to all transactions. 

Issue of E tickets and contact details 
When your booking has been confirmed your tickets will be dispatched via email address you specified.  It is your responsibility to check prior to purchase that the information you have supplied to us in respect of your e- ticket requirements is accurate (for event participants and spectators). We are only responsible for issuing e-tickets in accordance with the information you provide. 

Participants are personally responsible for updating the organisers with any contact details. In the case of an emergency, ZSL may use the Emergency Contact details provided by you to contact your home or office.

On arrival at the attraction the following will be required in order to validate an e-ticket purchased through this website: A legible print out of your email/letter confirmation, Failure to print out and bring with you may delay in the admission process.

Ticket Purchase and Validity
One purchased, neither the person nor the event for which an e-ticket has been purchased may be changed. E-tickets are only valid for the date(s) and times stated upon on them. Payments for e-tickets are non-refundable for every event. If for any reason you do choose to forfeit your place within the event, we ask that you tell ZSL as soon as possible, to allow for another participant to enter in your place. No event registration may be re-sold without prior written consent from ZSL. If any person attempts to enter an ZSL event or a 3rd Party Event associated with ZSL with a ticket that has been re-sold without ZSL’s written consent, ZSL may refuse entry and/or report the individual to the 3rd party organisers and no compensation is payable to that person by ZSL.

E-tickets do not guarantee car entry and parking charges are not included within the price of an e-ticket.

Registration 
Every participant must agree to the terms and conditions of the event. You understand that your registration fee and spectator fees given are used towards the costs of the event. Parking charges are not included within the price of the ticket/registration

Event cancellation and Risks 
Due to unexpected health and safety reasons on the day, the event may have to be reduced or altered to accommodate unexpected complications (for example, flooding). You understand that ZSL may have to cancel your booking if a minimum number of participants do not book into the event 
All participants take part in this event at their own risk. ZSL has a comprehensive risk assessment process for each event which aims to minimise or eliminate the risk to everyone taking part. However, by taking part in this event, you acknowledge that there may be conditions or circumstances beyond our control that can lead to unforeseen risks. 

Sponsorship and Gift-aid
You have registered to take part in a ZSL fundraising event. On top of your entry fee into the event, you have pledged to raising sponsorship with a target specific to each event (outlined on the individual event page). Participants who have raised money are advised that they have a legal responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship monies and donations received are paid to ZSL within a reasonable time. You agree to raise all money using legal methods as specified by the Institute of Fundraising and complying with any advice given by ZSL.

Sponsorship monies by cheque must be made payable to the ‘Zoological Society of London’ and addressed to the Challenge and Community Events Team, Development Department, The Zoological Society of London, Regents Park, London,  NW1 4RY. If you are unable to meet the minimum sponsorship. You may choose to make up the balance yourself or you may forfeit your place.

You understand that any monies received under the Gift Aid scheme and any existing regular donations that you have to ZSL will not count towards your minimum sponsorship target

Bag storage 
(Please see individual event terms for specific storage details if applicable to the event). There are no facilities for the storage of luggage at the attractions.  Buggies and pushchairs are left unattended at their owner’s risk and any containers left unattended may be removed for security reasons.  ZSL accepts no responsibility or damage to or loss of personal property brought onto the premises. 

Liability 
ZSL shall not be liable for any injury, illness or death of any person or persons nor for loss or damage to any property nor for any direct or indirect or consequential loss however arising. The above does not exclude or restrict ZSL’s liability for injury, illness or death arising as a result of any negligence or omission of ZSL or its employee acting in the course of their employment.

Visitor Rules 
ZSL reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry into or remove from an Attraction, any person. This includes but is not limited to a person who:-
a. has behaved in a manner which, in the opinion of ZSL b. has, or is likely to, adversely affect the animals at the Attraction or the safety or enjoyment of other visitors; c. has used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes d. or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace or may disturb animals; e. is or appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
It is prohibited to take into an event; 

•    any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles, blades, flammable liquids or other articles that may cause injury.  
•    Skateboards, rollerblades, rollerskates, bikes and other forms of personal transport
•    Balls, Frisbees, balloons or any similer items
•    Pets or animals of any nature

To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being taken into an Attraction, visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched by ZSL staff.

Visitors to ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoo should:

•    Keep their voices and mobile telephone volumes low
•    Not attempt to feed the animals or enter animal enclosures
•    Not tap on glass or put any body part through railings or fencing
•    Not film or take photographs of the attraction for public broadcast, commercial purpose or student projects unless authorisation has first been obtained by ZSL
•    Not throw any article which could cause injury or annoyance to visitors or animals
•    Not smoke

Guide dogs are not permitted in attractions – please contact our contact centre on 0344 225 1826 to make alternative arrangements. 

There is no re-admittance back into our attractions once you have left. 

Illegal Substances and Alcohol 
No illegal substances may be carried or consumed by participants at this event. For the safety of all concerned, participants/spectators do not drink alcohol or take drugs before or during the event as this may impair your judgement. Individuals who appear to be under the influence of either alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to take part in the event or be a spectator and will be asked to leave.

Health and Fitness 
All event participants should satisfy themselves that they are in good health and physically able to participate in any of ZSL’s events.  If in doubt, participants should consult a GP or hospital doctor prior to the event. You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically fit to participate in the event. If you have any medical conditions that you feel might affect your ability to take part, please seek medical advice before committing to take part. For Health and Safety reasons, ZSL and/or the event agent reserve the right to stop any person from Participating.

Data Protection 
Please be aware that by registering you authorise ZSL to process your personal and sensitive data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 for the purposes of this event. ZSL will endeavour not to use any photographs, images or likenesses of children aged 16 or under. By ticking the box on our registration form you agree to ZSL using your personal and sensitive data for the purposes outlined above.

Where ZSL works with 3rd parties to organise events, there may be the requirement to pass on your personal details in accordance with the event. By registering in the event, you agree to this happening. 

Use of Image
by entering the event you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or any other account of this event. Photography, or filming of children without first obtaining consent from the legal guardian is strictly prohibited. As a participant/spectator you give permission to use any photographs/videos taken of you to raise awareness and/or money for ZSL’s work.

Disclaimer
I herby apply to participate in this event. I or my parent/ guardian accept and agree that neither the organisers nor officials, the land owners, sponsors and fellow competitors shall be liable in any way, or in any circumstances, for damages or injury that I may suffer during this event. I understand and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the event and the rules of the organisers and I agree to participate in this event at my own risk. I agree to take part safely with consideration for others. I agree that the conditions of my entry state that I will follow the instructions given. Your signature on the entry form or your clicking on the box in the on line entry conforms your acceptance of these conditions of entry. If during the event you are involved in an incident with a third party please ensure that you pass on all your details - it is not the responsibility of the event organisers.

ZSL Complaint policy
ZSL is committed to providing a high quality service to our visitors, supporters, members and customers. We invite feedback because it enables us to ensure the continuous improvement of the services and facilities we provide. 
We want to make sure that your engagement with ZSL is memorable and enjoyable for all the right reasons, however we understand that sometimes things can go wrong and you find yourself needing to contact us.  In these situations we promise that we will: 
•    Treat any comments/feedback seriously
•    Try to resolve any problems promptly, in no longer than 10 working days (should we require longer we will keep you informed at all times as to the progress of your complaint)
•    Utilise any feedback/comments where appropriate to make recommendations for change in order to improve our visitor experience  

What do to if you have a complaint
The sooner you can get in touch with us, the sooner we’ll be able to help you.  Most complaints can be resolved quickly by speaking to one of our members of staff.  If they are not the right person for you to speak with they will be able to contact the relevant person for you.
If you are unable to make a complaint at the time of the issue occurring, please contact us as soon as possible by one of the following means:

Our Supporter Services team will aim to help you there and then over the telephone, however there may be times when we need do more research into your complaint, or to find out some more information for you.  In these circumstances you will be kept informed as to the progress of your complaint and we will aim to resolve it within 10 working days

We aim to respond to email within 3 working days, however if your complaint requires more time to research we will let you know.  In these circumstances we will keep you informed as to the progress of your complaint and would aim to resolve it within 10 working days

By writing to us at Supporter Services, ZSL London Zoo, Regents Park, London, NW1 4RY or Supporter Services, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, LU6 2LF.  We aim to respond within 10 working days from receipt of the letter.  If we require longer we will contact you to let you know when you can expect a response.  

What if the complaint is not resolved?
If you are unhappy with our response then please get back in touch with us within 14 days by writing to the Head of Supporter Services at the address above. Your complaint will be reviewed and a senior manager will respond to you in writing within 10 working days. 

Additional terms for the ZSL London Stampede 10km events 

Race number - Your race number is for you only, you are not permitted to swap numbers or give away your place. 

Age - The minimum age of participants for the 10km is 15+ and for the 5km there is no age limit but all minors must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. Proof of age may be required. Anyone under 18yrs old must have their entry form signed by a parent/guardian and must abide the rules. It is each under 18 year old's parents/guardians responsibility to ensure they or their children are suitability fit and healthy to take part the event. All runners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult Parent/guardian in order to gain entry into the zoo and event. 

Dropping out - Any participant who drops out after crossing the starting line must report to an official to prevent any unnecessary search being started. 

Photography - Participants and supporters are welcome to take pictures on the day but please ensure that where the pictures captures images of children that only one's family members are included.

Bag storage - Runners will be able to store their bags at their own risk. Any bags left unattended may be removed for security reasons. All Baggage will need to be collected immediately after they have completed the run. The baggage tent will close after 12pm on the day of the event. ZSL accepts no responsibility for damage to or loss of personal property brought into Attractions. There are no changing facilities for this event.

Access - You understand as a participant/spectator that once within the ZSL London Zoo grounds, there will be area restrictions within the zoo on the morning of the event.  Under no circumstance must participants/spectators attempt to leave the enclosed area of the event.

Additional terms and conditions for the Walk of Fire and Ice

The event specialist fire and glass walking agency is Survivorbility. Their terms and conditions and disclaimer will be provided during registration before the Walk of Fire and Ice.  It is a requirement that all participants comply with both ZSL and the event agent Terms and Conditions and sign the disclaimer during the registration.

Age - To take part in this event you must be 18 years or over on the date of the event. If you are under 21 please bring formal photo identity with you when you register (Driving license, passport, work ID etc.) Children under 16 will not be admitted to the Walk of Fire and Ice as a spectator without an accompanying spectator without an adult.

Access - Your ticket into the event does not include entry into the zoo for the day. You understand as a participant/spectator that once within the ZSL London Zoo grounds, there will be area restrictions within the zoo on the night of the event.  Under no circumstance must participants/spectators attempt to leave the enclosed area of the event. We do not allow re-entry into the zoo

Health and Fitness – In addition to the Health and Safety terms outlined above, You should be able to walk independently, quickly and without hesitation.  If you suffer from Diabetes or have any foot wounds or foot skin conditions, you should not take part in this event.

Do not use any lotions, nail varnish remover (acetone) on your feet on the day of the event. Do not wear any nail varnish, toe rings, ankle bracelets or foot jewellery.

Additional terms and conditions for the ZSL Streak for Tigers  

Participants and Spectators - All participants and spectators must be over the age of 18 on the day of the event. Photo ID will be required on the night for everyone entering into the ZSL site (Participants and spectators).  If ZSL believes anyone to be under the minimum age, they will be required to show ID. Failure to do so will result in non-admittance into the zoo. ZSL will not refund any registration and spectators tickets to anyone whom has signed up under the age of 18. 

Spectator tickets can only be purchased by friends and family of Tiger Streakers.

Access: Your ticket into the event does not include entry into the zoo for the day. The evening will be limited to the central area within ZSL London Zoo and the surrounding lawns. No animal houses will be open. Under no circumstances, must you arrive or leave unclothed. 

Changing areas and storage: Tiger Streakers will be able to store their bags within a secure area which will be managed by ZSL staff.  Any bags left unattended may be removed for security reasons. All Baggage will need to be collected immediately after the streak has been completed. The changing and baggage area will close at 21:00 on the evening of the event.   Please note that all belongings are left at your own risk. ZSL accepts no responsibility for damage to or loss of personal property brought onto the premises. There is no storage for spectators baggage on the evening of the event. 

Route, start and finish location: The Streak for Tigers route has been designed so that all Tiger Streakers can be viewed at all times on a very short streak within ZSL London Zoo. The chosen route is out of view from the road and park. 

The finish area will not be a venue for prolonged naked socialising. When Tiger Streakers have found friends and celebrated the highlights of the Tiger Streak, please get dressed promptly. 

Dispersal: All Tiger Streakers must get dressed before leaving ZSL London Zoo. If Tiger Streakers return into the central court naked (not using the provided wrap), please show consideration for others.

Media and photography: This event has been designed as a fundraising event and as one that will help to raise the profile of ZSL’s work with Tigers. Therefore this very unique event is likely to receive media attention. By signing up to this event, Participants and Spectators are consenting to photographs and filming taking place throughout the evening by individuals pre-approved by ZSL. By entering the Streak for Tigers event you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or any other account of this event. You also understand that photographs may be taken of you during the event that may be used to publicise future events and the work of the charity generally. 

Foot wear: All Participants must wear footwear to take part in the streak and we recommend running trainers if you are planning on jogging the route. 

Additional terms for Third Party Events (Brighton Marathon, Royal Parks Half Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Vitality London 10,000)  

On successful application, you will submit payment of the Entry Fee for your individual event. You will also be required to register your place on the Event directly with the Event Organiser. Further details will be required here to confirm your entry and the event organisers terms and conditions will need to be confirmed at the point of registration. 

The minimum age for entry into these events is 18 years at the date of the event

Additional terms for SkyLine Sky Diving

By signing up, you agree to raise a minimum sponsorship which covers deposit, jump costs and average sponsorship of £140 to ZSL. Anything raised above the minimum amount also goes to the charity.

Each individual needs to raise £395* total; this is made up of the following costs:

•    £70 deposit – paid on booking to Skyline
•    Jump costs (approximately £185, varies between airfields)
•    £130 - £140 approximate charity sponsorship
•    Anything raised above this £395 goes to ZSL

*£450 minimum sponsorship for airfields in Northern Ireland and Scotland
*Supporters taking part in an Accelerated Free Fall are asked to raise a minimum of £535

Roar with Laughter presents the Comedy Store Players terms and conditions:

Roar with Laughter presents the Comedy Store Players tickets are only valid for the date and the venue detailed on the tickets. All tickets for Roar with Laughter presents the Comedy Store Players are non-refundable, unless a performance is cancelled.

Acts are subject to change and numbers of acts will vary for different evenings.  ZSL reserves the right to make any alterations from advertised listings.

Doors will open at 7:00pm to the venue and last entry into the event is 7:55pm.

The venue is the Huxley theatre but that ZSL reserves the right to change the venue up until the time of the performance. 

All ticket holders to the Roar with Laughter presents the Comedy Store Players must be over the age of 18 on the day of the event. If ZSL believes anyone to be under the minimum age, they will be required to show ID. Failure to do so will result in non-admittance into the Roar with Laughter presents the Comedy Store Players. ZSL will not refund tickets to anyone whom has purchased a ticket under the age of 18. 

Every member of the audience must have a valid ticket 

You can purchase tickets based on the best sections of seats, however seats are unreserved in each section, so it is recommended that you arrive in good time to choose seats.

ZSL reserves the right to make any alterations to advertised listings

ZSL reserves the right to refuse admission or attendance to any patron.

Glasses, bottles, cameras and recording equipment, etc. are not allowed in the venue.

You are not permitted to bring alcohol with you to this event, there will be a cash bar at the venue.

Mobile phones and any other electrical appliances should be silenced before entering the theatre.

Tickets to Roar with Laughter presents the Comedy Store Players are non-refundable.

There are no luggage storage facilities within in this event

Ticket holders consent to the recording and filming of themselves as members of the audience.

If an audience member persistently interrupts a performer or behaves in a way that is deemed offensive in our opinion, we will ask the member of the audience to leave

ZSL London Zoo Sunset Safari specific terms and conditions:

There are no luggage storage facilities with the exception of Sunset Safari ticket holders who have also booked to stay in a Gir Lion Lodge.

ZSL Swim for Wildlife:

Participants and Spectators - Swimmers will be issued with an event cap. It is compulsory to wear this cap during the event and failure to do so will result in ejection from the Event. All swimmers must wear appropriate swimming attire for the event. Wetsuits are advised and swimmers will be expected to provide these.  At all times during the event you must adhere to all instructions given by the Event officials and Life guards. All participants take part in this event at their own risk.  Participants should be confident in the water and be able to swim. Please bring with you a legible print out of your email/letter confirmation. Failure to print out and bring with you may delay in the admission process.

Age - To take part you must be 18 years or over on the date of the event. If you are under 21 please bring formal photo identity with you when you register (Driving licence, passport, work ID etc). Children Spectators under 18 will not be admitted without an adult.

Health and Fitness - You should be reasonably fit and enjoy sufficient good health to participate in the ZSL Brockwell Lido Swim.  You should be confident in water and be able to swim. For Health and Safety reasons, ZSL and/or the event agent reserve the right to stop any person from participating.  If you have any medical condition that you feel might affect your ability to take part, please seek medical advice before committing to take part.

Visitor Rules  - You are not permitted to use the following items during the event:

Flippers, hand paddles, snorkels, personal audio entertainment equipment, Floatation device or swimming aid that could potentially inhibit the flow of safety of other participants

We reserve the right to refuse entry to the Event or to ask you to cease participation if:- you fail to arrive at the start location at the specified time; or you are unable to make sufficient progress in the event to allow you to complete the event in line with timelines set by Event officials.

Additional Terms Zoo to Zoo Bike Ride

a. All Participants in Events involving cycling (“Cycle Event”) must:

    i. wear a cycle helmet at all times during the Cycle Event;

    ii. ensure that their bicycles are in a roadworthy condition;

    iii. observe the rules of the Highway Code;

    iv. obey the Rules of the Road (a copy of which is included with the Participant Number sent to each Participant);

    v. ensure that the bicycle that they use during the Event complies in all respects with all relevant and applicable legislation including, if all or part of the Cycle Event takes place after dark, being fitted with fully functioning and adequate front and rear lights;

    vi. not carry young children on their bike or carry children in a child seat, trailer or similar device; and

    vii. unless the Event Information states otherwise, must ride a two wheeled non-powered cycle in the Event.

b. Where a Cycle Event uses a bicycle drop off or return service offered by ZSL under which bicycles are transported during the event, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that their bicycle is transported entirely at the Participant’s risk and that neither ZSL nor its contractors may be held liable for any accidental damage incurred during the transport or handling of any bicycle.  Use of the bicycle drop off or return service will indicate acceptance of this exclusion of liability on the part of ZSL and the carrier.

Additional Terms for the Whipsnade Walk

The Whipsnade Walk takes place on open trails and country paths therefore it is essential the correct clothing and kit is worn. You should bring a number of layers as well as comfortable walking shoes and water proof items in case of adverse weather.

The route encompasses some remote areas of countryside therefore it is advisable to bring sufficient amounts of water and snacks. 

If taking part with minors (all persons under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult) then sole responsibility for their safety is with the legal guardian.
