ZSL Launches April Fools' Day Amnesty

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is declaring an April Fools’ Day Amnesty after being flooded with calls from people who have been set up by prankster friends and colleagues.

ZSL is an international scientific, conservation and educational charity whose mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.

Our Supporter Services team was inundated with calls from victims of April Fools’ Day jokes – ringing us after being left messages to urgently contact Miss C. Lyon or Mr G. Raffe.

Our top ten fake requests from 2016:

  • C. Lyon
  • G. Raffe
  • Anne Teater
  • Sue Keeper
  • Amir Kat
  • Lee Mure
  • Ellie Phant
  • Ali Gator
  • Ryan No
  • Sally Mander

While we appreciate the creativeness of such crafty colleagues, these calls make it harder for people who wish to donate to us to get through to the team and take up a huge amount of our staff’s time.

So, if you used us to prank a friend why not consider making a small donation to help us continue to Work for Wildlife?
