The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is an international scientific, conservation and educational charity whose mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.

ZSL’s mission is being achieved through groundbreaking science, active conservation projects in more than 50 countries and in their two Zoos, ZSL London and ZSL Whipsnade.

ZSL is are developing Philanthropic giving and are seeking a new Head of Private Philanthropy who will be responsible for raising funds from high value individual donors in order to develop a sustainable income stream. The post will also oversee ZSL’s Patron, Fellowship and legacy giving activities, whilst ensuring all groups of individual supporters are managed effectively and efficiently, maximizing their lifetime value to ZSL.

In order to be considered for this role you must possess excellent relationship management skills, with the ability and confidence to operate at a high level with donors and senior stakeholders internally and externally. You must be able to think strategically, and manage a pool of donors to deliver growth and maximize opportunities. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the major giving process.  Excellent written and verbal communications are essential.
