Conservation Programmes

The Zoological Society of London is seeking a new role of, Head of Operations for our Conservation Programmes.

The Head of Operations will report to Jonathan Baillie, Director of Conservation Programmes, and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of internal processes in the department.  This will include liaising with all parts of ZSL and providing appropriate support, reporting, monitoring and communications systems as well as supporting ZSL’s conservation staff working at home and in the field overseas.  

An understanding of key issues relevant to biodiversity conservation and a working knowledge of HR and health and safety best practice and legislation is required, along with experience in programme implementation, staff management and leadership (ideally in the field conservation arena).

The post holder also serves as deputy to the Director of Conservation Programmes for internal purposes, regularly representing the department at director level within the Society.
