Booking and Purchasing Tickets

• Does ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo offer group discounts? And who is eligible?

We offer discounts for groups arriving with 10 or more paying visitors. Up to 25% discount is given for group tickets purchased in advance of the date of the visit. These can be purchased online or over the phone. 

Groups can include adults, children and concessions (students, seniors and disabled visitors). Free essential carers and supervising adults are also allowed to accompany a group but will not be counted in the group of 10 paying visitors.

We also offer additional discounts for children visiting as a part of a uniformed youth group.

• How do I book a group visit to ZSL London or Whipsnade Zoo?

You can book a group visit online or over the phone.

To book online and receive up to a 25% discount visit our booking page and pay using credit or debit card.

To book over the phone call 0344 225 1826 and speak to our booking team. You will receive up to a 25% discount when paying for the tickets.

• How do I pay for a group visit?

We accept all forms of payment depending on how you make your booking. Online bookings will be processed using debit/credit cards. When booking over the phone debit/credit cards, BACS* payment or cheques* can be accepted.  Debit/credit cards or cash payments will be accepted at the gate.

*Please note: we require 7 working days to process cheque and BACS payments. The discount will only apply for groups if the cheque or BACS details are received 7 working days before the visit.

• Do ZSL offer special rates to school or educational groups?

We love to welcome school groups to ZSL and offer them fantastic discounts. You can find out more about a school visit and our education program on our schools page. Educational groups visiting outside of school term time can also take advantage of our child and concession prices.

• Who is eligible for free entry?

ZSL offer free entry to the following visitors

- Essential carers when accompanying a paying disabled visitor

- Blue Badge Guides when visiting with a paying group

• What if I have ZSL members included in the group party number?

ZSL members enjoy unlimited free visits during the year and can therefore visit with a group free of charge and make use of their additional member benefits during the visit. However, they will not be counted in the minimum group size or in supervision ratios.

• Can we visit during Zoo events?

• How do we get to the zoo?

• Is there parking available and how much does it cost?

There is car parking available at each zoo, with coach and blue badge parking available on a first come, first served basis.

Parking in the external carpark at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is free all year round (including for coaches) when space is available. You can find out about parking charges for the ZSL London Zoo carpark using the link below.

Please note: Due to works being undertaken by Thames Water and HS2, we regret to inform you that the car park will be reduced in size for a considerable time and therefore from 1 January 2018 we will no longer be able to offer parking for coaches. We will be creating new coach drop-off spaces but once groups have disembarked, parking will need to be found off site. We also have plans to make the car park as flexible as possible so we can respond quickly to fluctuating demand for cars and coaches.

Did you know that ZSL London Zoo is easily accessible by public transport?
Camden Town underground station is only a short walk away, with Regent’s Park tube also within walking distance (c.20mins through the park).
Alternatively, buses C2 (from Victoria via Oxford Circus and Great Portland Street) and 274 (via Marble Arch/Baker Street) stop near the zoo regularly.

• Are there any benefits for coach drivers?

We offer coach drivers free entry and a £5 meal voucher when they bring a group to visit ZSL London Zoo or ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. These can be collected from the main gate on arrival.

• Can I organise meal vouchers for my group?

Groups visiting ZSL can purchase catering vouchers that can be exchanged at our main restaurants.

• Do you provide activities and resources for young children?

• Can groups visit out of hours?

Children aged 7-11 can participate in BedBugs sleepovers at ZSL London Zoo which are great for youth groups, special events and birthday parties. Find out more about BedBugs

Adults and children can also stay overnight at Lookout Lodge at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, however there are no group discounts available for this experience. Find out more about Lookout Lodge
