Zoo Veterinary Careers Day (ZSL London Zoo)

This one-day interactive course is aimed at 13-18 year olds who want to work within the zoo veterinary career – as vets, vet nurses or as enrichment and behaviour experts. Students will get the unique chance to see inside ZSL London Zoo’s veterinary hospital and meet the professionals that work there. They’ll also experience exactly what their jobs entail and how they got to where they are.

This event aims to give a valuable insight into the work of a zoo vet or vet nurse and how best to achieve this career goal. Students on the course will have the chance to meet zoo vets, zoo vet nurses, behaviour and training experts and current veterinary students. These professionals will not only talk about their work and their careers, but lead students round a carousel of practical activities designed to give a realistic impression of the life and work of zoo veterinary professionals.

*The next event is at ZSL London Zoo on 29th October 2016. Tickets will be put on sale on Monday 15th August at 10.30am. Please note that tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and do tend to sell quickly.*
