Zoo Veterinary Careers Day

ZSL London Zoo is excited to announce a new set of dates for Zoo Veterinary Careers Days in 2015! This one-day interactive course is aimed at 13-18 year olds who want to work within the zoo veterinary career – as vets, vet nurses or as enrichment and behaviour experts. Students will get the unique chance to see inside ZSL London Zoo’s veterinary hospital and meet the professionals that work there. They’ll also experience exactly what their jobs entail and how they got to where they are.

** Tickets for the July date are now sold out. Further tickets will be available for Saturday 24th October 2015. Please email to be added to the mailing list for more information.**

This one-day event aims to give a valuable insight into the work of a zoo vet or vet nurse and how best to achieve this career goal. Students on the course will have the chance to meet zoo vets, zoo vet nurses, behaviour and training experts and current veterinary students. These professionals will not only talk about their work and their careers, but lead students round a carousel of practical activities designed to give a realistic impression of the life and work of zoo veterinary professionals.

Schedule for the Day

The full-day event will begin at 10.00am with arrival and refreshments and last until 16.30pm. Below is an example schedule of activities for the day, although please be aware that these are subject to change with no notice.
