We bring our scientists and keepers to you!
Join the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) online, from the comfort of your classroom or assembly hall, to give your secondary students the opportunity to meet a ZSL expert.
These free interactive, online chats, are run during British Science Week and Biology Week each year. During the Skype call, ZSL experts will share their experiences and give your students the chance to ask their own questions.
We will be running a number of skype sessions during British Science Week 2020, from Monday 9th to Friday 13th March. Further details about how to book will be published here in early February.
Sign up to receive our email updates and we will let you know as soon as we have more information, as well as the latest news, events, and activities for your school.
Scientist in your Classroom
Meet a ZSL scientist and hear about their experiences working in conservation science. Discussing topics such as the process of scientific investigation or how to develop a successful conservation initiative, there will be plenty of time for your students to ask their own questions.
This is an amazing opportunity to show your secondary students science in a real world context and explore careers in conservation science.
You’ll be sent details about our scientists before you meet them, giving you and your students the chance to find out more about their research and plan what you would like to ask.
Keeper in your Classroom
Meet one of ZSL’s dedicated keeper staff as they describe their role and the importance of good animal husbandry. Discussing topics such as nutrition, veterinary care and enrichment, there will be plenty of time for your students to ask their own questions.
This is an amazing opportunity to explore the role of zoos and discover more about careers in animal management and husbandry.
You’ll be sent details about our keepers before you meet them, giving you and your students the chance to find out more about their job and plan what you would like to ask.
