Set best practice standards helping industry reduce negative impact on wildlife.

ZSL recognises the significant threat posed by irresponsible and unsustainable business practice to global biodiversity and the landscapes in which we work. The Business and Biodiversity programme works to address these threats and to deliver a ZSL mission target to ensure best practice is business-as-usual in at least 1 million km2 of priority production landscape.

Through our flagship project, the Sustainable Palm Oil Transparency Toolkit (SPOTT), we are promoting transparency, accountability, engagement and best practice frameworks with governments, companies, investors and industry groups. The programme also provides technical support to our global conservation projects working to identify and implement conservation solutions with environmentally responsible companies and in landscapes affected by business.
