We are excited to be able to open our zoos again and can’t wait to see you.
To effectively manage numbers we have implemented an online booking system. We know that this has caused some confusion and in the first few days, some visitors mistakenly booked a slot for the wrong zoo. This was not a technical problem, but we now realise that the website could have made it clearer about which zoo you were booking for.
If this affects you, don’t worry!
We have improved the booking system and it is now very clear which zoo is being booked, so the problem should not recur.
But if you made your booking between Thursday 11th and Sunday 14th June (before the changes to the system), we will accept mistakenly booked tickets for the date and time slot that you originally booked.
If you intended to book for Whipsnade Zoo and have mistakenly got a London Zoo ticket – this will be honoured on the gate when you come to Whipsnade. Please present your ticket when you arrive and explain that you made the booking between 11th and 14th June.
If you intended to book for London Zoo and have ended up with a Whipsnade Zoo ticket by mistake, please arrive at the date and time you booked for. However, due to less capacity at London, during busy periods we may have to ask you to wait for us to check if we are able to allow entry and if we are at capacity, we may have to ask you to return a little later, in the day when numbers have eased off.
We apologise again for any confusion causes, and thank you for your patience and understanding at this unprecedented and extremely busy time as we reopen our zoos and welcome you back.
With warmest wildlife wishes.
