Salary c. £35k
This is an exciting time to join the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), as we develop and grow our organisation to take on the challenges of conservation worldwide. We are looking for a proven sponsorship expert, reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, who will have the latest market knowledge to value property rights and develop more varied, diverse and creative sponsorship propositions, resulting in new sponsors of ZSL’s commercial events and experiences across both ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos as well as identifying new sponsorship opportunities that exist across ZSL’s portfolio.
If you have a track record of valuing, developing, leading, winning and retaining sponsors across a range of sponsorship properties, we want to hear from you. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to balance different agendas and objectives. Creative and imaginative, you will be able to motivate others and inspire confidence and trust.
ZSL is a conservation, science and education charity whose mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. Two things set us apart from most such groups; we have two excellent zoos – London and Whipsnade – enabling us to engage over 1.7 million visitors a year, and our science is world-class, so that all our conservation work is evidence based.
Corporate engagement at ZSL has grown consistently in recent years, but we now need to move on to the next level. We are seeking an experienced Sponsorship Manager, with a creative and entrepreneurial eye, to join a skilled and committed team, responsible for leading and developing corporate partnerships across ZSL.
In order to be considered for this role you must have a working knowledge of key trends and issues facing sponsorship today, in-depth knowledge of property rights valuation, an understanding of the digital social media environment and how this can be leveraged by the sponsor in association with the property and experience of preparing sponsorship contracts. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential.
Applications should be addressed to email@example.com by the closing date of 5th December, 2014 and should include:
- a curriculum vitae;
- a covering letter summarising how your abilities and skills match both the person and post specifications for this role.
