Marine & Freshwater Conservation Programme Projects Coordinator (EDGE Corals/Connect Chagos)Salary: £24,817 – £25,426 including London Weighting12 month contract
The Zoological Society of London’s (ZSL) International Marine & Freshwater Conservation Programme seeks to bring direct and sustained conservation benefits to marine, coastal and freshwater wildlife and their habitats. ZSL is looking to recruit a dynamic individual to act as a Projects Coordinator for the Programme. They will be responsible for supporting our EDGE Corals and Connect Chagos projects, including financial, logistical, administrative and reporting requirements for conservation projects, including those arising from collaborative arrangements between ZSL and partner organisations.
This job would suit a recent Masters graduate in the field of aquatic / marine biology, or similar discipline, who is looking to develop a career in conservation. They will have an understanding of, and passion for, the conservation of aquatic habitats and fauna and particular interest in and knowledge of corals. Some experience in education or training programmes would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be independently driven and show initiative; with strong verbal and written communications; excellent inter-personal skills; good administrative skills; and have good time management and organisational skills.
This grant-funded position is a 12 month contract with potential to renew and will be located in London.
