The Zoological Society of London is recruiting for an Inclusion Officer within its Discovery and Learning (D&L) department. The position is based at the ZSL London Zoo site, but the postholder will also be expected to complete some project work at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
ZSL is an international conservation, scientific and education charity. The Discovery & Learning (D&L) Inclusion Officer will play a key role in delivering ZSL’s learning strategy, specifically to support learners with complex needs, and in doing so achieve the Society’s mission “to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats”
The D&L Inclusion Officer will achieve this through the development and delivery of a range of learning programmes and events, for a variety of audiences, the principal ones being schools and other learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). There could be additional project work which will link into all aspects of the D&L strategy including carrying out evaluation and visitor studies, assisting to develop ZSL Arts and Culture programmes and actively contributing to ZSL Social Dimension of Conservation projects, which link to ZSL Conservation Programmes and the Institute of Zoology.
