Bring your little ones for some big fun at Little Creatures this August.
From Friday 16 – Sunday 18 August, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will open its doors for a weekend of big fun just for your little ones!
Specially designed for your little creatures under 10 there’ll be colourful characters, interactive storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor theatre and much, much more!
So what’s on?
Raa Raa The Noisy Lion
Start practicing your loudest ROARRR as Raa Raa the Noisy Lion visits us and we can't wait to meet him! He will be making appearances at intervals throughout the day, so come along with your noisy little lion cubs to join in the fun!
The Jungle Book Outdoor Theatre
We'll have a special afternoon outdoor theatre production of the Jungle Book, with lots of audience interaction and a chance to have your photo taken with the cheeky jungle creatures after the show.
Roald Dahl Storytelling
We’ll be welcoming a swashboggling storyteller from The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden. There will be rendunculous renditions of Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts, so be prepared to join in and get noisy!
Crafty Critters Zone
Kids can get artsy making enrichment toys for our animals or creating their own masterpiece to take home.
Whacky Races
Our popular whacky races return this year! All of our races will incorporate an animal theme, whether that be dressing up like one or mimicking how they move. So get ready to join in the Penguin Shuffle and the Wallaby Bounce!
Animal Antics
Of course, our animals will always be main attraction! From the small and furry to the huge and majestic, our animals will be swooping, splashing and trumpeting in our action packed programme of demonstrations, talks and feeds.
Whoop-de-do it’s Hullabazoo!
Your little ones can really run wild on our new Hullabazoo Outdoor Adventure Play area and not forgetting our indoor soft play centre Hullabazoo.
After all that excitement you can hop aboard Jumbo Express for a relaxing journey as it slowly puffs its way through the zoo.

Little Creatures family festival is free to ZSL Members however tickets must be booked in advance.
There are a lot of free activities at Little Creatures but some will incur an additional charge.
