Join us if you dare for a host of spooky goings on at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo this Halloween half term.
Those looking for a ghoul-ishly good time this Halloween half term should head to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo for a day of fiendish fun at Boo at the Zoo.
From Saturday 26th October to Sunday 3rd November, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will be creeping to life with a spooky schedule of Halloween themed special activities.
If you’re feeling brave don’t miss our spine tingling Halloween inspired series of animal talks, feeds and demonstrations including wolves and the ‘ghosts of Madagascar’ the lemurs.
10.30am - Ghosts of Madagascar, join our cheeky troupe of Lemurs for their breakfast
11.00am - Wicked Wolverine, pay a visit to the most ferocious residents of the Zoo!
11.15am - Beastly Bugs, face your fears in this close-up creepy-crawly session
11.30am - Ominos Owls, wise old birds or the Zoo's top predators?
12.15pm - Ginormous Giraffes, learn how these silent animals survive in the wild
2.00pm - Slurping Sloth Bears, are these strange looking bears as odd as they look?
2.00pm - Owl meet and greet, get up close to our spellbinding owl
2.30pm - Peckish Penguins, watch these Zoo favourites enjoy a tasty treat
3.15pm - Wild Wolves, one of the Zoo's scariest predators, watch our pack enjoy their gory dinner
With a horrifying host of free activities happening, there’s plenty to make the whole family scream with delight!
11am - 3.30pm - Creepy Crafts
Take part in some creepy crafts from menacing mask making to trick or treat lanterns
11.30am - 12.30pm - Pumpkin Party
Children are invited to wear their creepiest costumes and disco dance to the Time Warp and Monster Mash, enjoy Halloween party games and the Zombie limbo and conga!
1.30pm - 2.30pm - Ghoul School
Learn how to be a successful scary character, with spell making, a mummy wrap competition and prizes for the best Halloween character!
There’s also a chance for visitors to get chillingly creative, by drawing some of our weird and wonderful species as part of the Big Draw 2013.
