Primary resources by theme
There are a range of resources for Primary groups. The resources below included activity sheets and themed notes.
Activity sheets are aimed at the students. They provide a focus for the visit including things to do and think about during the visit and some have activities that can be followed up at school or home. Themed notes are aimed at adults and provide background information to help teachers and other accompanying adults to lead discussions during the visit.
African animals

Conservation ZSL conservation (331 KB): themed notes on some of the animals that are threatened in the wild, why they are threatened and what ZSL is doing to conserve the species.
On the edge (2.8 MB): an activity sheet about the threats to species, conservation efforts and particular projects ZSL is involved in.
The Edge-Factor (1.3 MB): an activity sheet to help students create their own deck of Edge-Factor cards using information they gathered during their visit to the Zoo. Edge Factor playing card outlines are available here (122 KB).
