Volunteers provide year-round enrichment

Giraffes at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will be wrapping their tongues around their favourite treats all winter long, thanks to ZSL’s volunteers
A group of learning volunteers gave up an extra day last month to collect an amazing 44 barrels of tasty branches and leaves.
Using newly felled trees from Whipsnade’s SSSI area, the Zoo’s three giraffes, called Savannah, Mtoto and Ina, are now getting stuck into supplies.
