Baby shower – Zoo’s little elephant makes a splash

The weathermen are predicting a Bank Holiday scorcher this weekend, and with temperatures rising already zookeepers decided their new baby girl – a pint-sized Asian elephant – could do with a baby shower.
Born at the end of July, the tiny elephant may only be a few feet tall but she’s definitely made a big splash – as the video below shows.
Keeper Andy Durham took this footage of ZSL Whipsnade Zoo's baby elephant enjoying her first cooling shower.
Showing she’s a natural-born water baby, she loves frolicking and playing in the stream of water, lapping up as much as possible with her little trunk.
