Wide Mouth Frog
These frogs are ‘passive’ hunters. This means that they do not search for prey, instead they remain camouflaged and wait for unsuspecting prey to pass by.
Wide mouth frogs are also known as Horned frogs due to the presence of flat folds of skin over their eyes that resemble horns.
Lays up to 2000 eggs in standing water. The eggs are left and mature into froglets after a period of approximately 14 days.
