Terms and Conditions for The Living Nativity 2012
These terms and conditions are in addition to the general terms and conditions of your e-ticket purchase and relate specifically to the Living Nativity 2012 at ZSL, London Zoo.
Delays and Cancellations
Your tickets for the Living Nativity are for the time and date specified only. They are non-refundable. If your class does not arrive at the start point within ZSL London Zoo on the date and time printed on your tickets then the children may miss the start or entirety of the event. While ZSL staff will do their best to re-schedule your class if you are delayed, it is not always possible to re-schedule. You will not receive a refund if you miss your booked event.
Space limitations within the scenes
The tickets which can be booked in advance are for children and a small number of accompanying adults only. All those with pre-booked tickets will be allowed access to the Living Nativity. Due to space limitations within some of the scenes, there may not be room for a large number of additional adults to accompany the children throughout the whole event and therefore some adults may be politely asked to wait in the zoo for parts of the event.
Adverse Weather
In the event of extreme adverse weather conditions the safety of the Living Nativity and of the zoo in general will be assessed. If London Zoo is required to close the Living Nativity will not be able to continue that day and you will be able to request a refund or, if there is suitable availability you may re-schedule. Similarly, in the event of heavy snowfall within the zoo in advance of your visit it is advisable to check that the zoo is open before beginning your journey.
Lunch spaces
The lunch spaces have seats for children only. Your class will be allocated one of the two undercover lunch spaces on arrival at ZSL London Zoo for the timeslot which you can book online. There are no toilets or hand washing facilities available at the lunch spaces. The lunch time slots are available for a period of 30 minutes from the start time confirmed on the e-ticket.
Please note that as both the Living Nativity and the lunch space bookings are for 2 classes of 30 at a time, it is likely that your class will be sharing the experience with a class from another school.
Risk Assessment
It is the teacher’s responsibility to prepare a suitable risk assessment in advance of any trip. It is important to undertake a risk assessment for young children and their accompanying adults and to ensure that everyone wears suitable clothing and footwear during their zoo visit. Guidance on completing a risk assessment can be found at http://www.zsl.org/education/risk-assessment
Pupils with special educational needs
For pupils who have special needs or need assistance on the day of the visit you are advised to inform the ZSL supporter services team in advance of your visit in order for staff to make any necessary arrangements.
