Spineless Photographic Exhibition Coenagrionidae xanthocnemis

Photography Exhibition highlighting the status and trends of the world’s invertebrates

ZSL London Zoo Bug House: June/July 2013

Invertebrates make up the great majority of known species on Earth - on land, in freshwater and in the oceans, and yet we take very little notice of them. They receive little conservation attention compared to vertebrates, despite the fact that if we were to lose them we would lose essential pollination, nutrient cycling, filtration and pest control services.

Through the use of remarkable photography and striking info-graphics, the Spineless Photographic Exhibition highlights the sheer diversity of invertebrates and draws attention to a much needed conservation agenda for the their future existence.

This eye-catching and enlightening exhibition is free to view as part of your entry price into ZSL London Zoo.

Spineless is a photography exhibit showcasing the finalists from the ARKive invertebrate photography competition run in collaboration with IUCN and ZSL which highlights the status and trends of the world’s invertebrates which looks to raise their profile on the conservation agenda for the future. The exhibit also coincides with the Science in Conservation talks on invertebrates held at ZSL’s Institute of Zoology.
