ZSL London Zoo hosts BBC’s Wild Night In

Thursday 10 June 2010

The cameras rolled at ZSL London Zoo on Sunday as the BBC Wildlife Fund's live Wild Night In appeal show was broadcast.

Kate Humble and David Attenborough

Presented by BBC Two’s Springwatch team and featuring a host of other conservationists and celebrities, Wild Night In celebrated world wildlife, while encouraging viewers to make all important donations to the BBC Wildlife Fund.

The show, which was broadcast live on BBC2 from the Zoo’s B.U.G.S. exhibit, raised over half a million pounds on the night. The two-hour telethon included videos of projects that have benefited from the BBC Wildlife Fund.

ZSL’s Project Seahorse was the focus of one such video, after Kate Humble travelled to the Project’s base in the Philippines to find out how money from the Fund is being used to protect vulnerable seahorse populations.

BBC's Wild Night InDedicated to raising awareness and funds to save threatened wildlife and places, The BBC Wildlife Fund has already provided vital support to several of ZSL’s conservation projects.
