Simon King receives the ZSL Thomson/Zoological Record Award for the public communication of zoology
ZSL is delighted to present wildlife film maker Simon King with its annual Thomson/Zoological Record award. Simon King has been making natural history films for almost 30 years. Their variety and educational value to audiences worldwide has been without equal and include the three King Series: King's country, King's Country Diary, and King and Company.
Since 1992 Simon has worked out of the BBC's Natural History Unit on programmes including Nature Detectives, Wild Nights with Simon King and Life in the Freezer. The more general public will have got to know him more recently through Spring Watch, Autumn Watch and the Big Cat Diary. We are grateful to Thomson Zoological Ltd for their continued sponsorship of this award.
