Run the extra mile for Conservation
Monday 10 January 2011
ZSL has four places up for grabs for the Brighton Marathon 2011.
With all general entry places for the marathon now completely full, ZSL is offering four spaces to any would-be runners who want to run the extra mile for charity.
With plenty of time left to train before the run, all you need to do is pay a small registration fee to secure your place, pledge to raise £500 in sponsorship money and then get your running shoes on. Every mile you run will be helping to conserve some of the world’s most amazing creatures and their precious habitats around the world.
Starting with a loop of the beautiful Preston Park, and then taking in the city’s famous sights, the Brighton Marathon is in its second year and with over 10,000 people taking part, it promises to be bigger and better than before.
ZSL is a registered charity, dedicated to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. We have conservation projects based in 60 countries around the world, as well as carrying out leading scientific research in the Institute of Zoology and running both ZSL Whipsnade and London Zoos.
If you’re interested in running, and would like more information, please contact Lucy Cannock on lucy.cannock@zsl.org .
