Monday 24 November 2008

This is the moment a lucky visitor to ZSL London Zoo was taken out of the rain and into the rainforest today to celebrate this year’s millionth visitor.

This is the second time the Zoo, which is open everyday apart from Christmas Day, has hit one million visitors in nine years.

An excited three year-old Bader Alnoimi and his nanny Amanda Denton, 30, ventured into the Zoo’s tropical Clore Rainforest where they were met by some hungry golden-headed lion tamarins.

Amanda, from Winchester, said: 'It was a great experience and Bader wasn’t fazed by it at all - he really enjoyed meeting the cheeky monkeys!'
