The two new ‘mane’ attractions at ZSL London Zoo are proving to be a roaring success with their parents as the first pictures of them with dad Lucifer show.

Three month old Gabriel and Rubi are the first Asian lion cubs to be born to the Zoo’s love-cats Abi, 10, and Lucifer, six.

Lucifer’s two little devils can often be seen snuggling up to their parents or creating mischief around their paddock.

Life is certainly busier for the new parents. Abi has taken well to motherhood and can often be seen fussing over her babies.

Mischievious Gabriel is keeping both parents of their toes - he especially loves jumping on his dad's back.

With less than 300 Asian lions in the wild the animals are classified as critically endangered by the IUCN International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Visitors can now come and see the Zoo’s first lion cubs in 10 years playing rough and tumble with their mother and father on the lion terraces.
