Just like any children seeing snow for the first time, excitement soon got the better of the playful pair, who spent an hour outside getting to grips with the blanket of snow coating their outdoor enclosure.

Zoo spokeswoman Emma Kenly said: “They were having a brilliant time rolling around and playing in the snow. Poor Abi could hardly keep up with them, although they did try to get mum involved in a lot of the mischief she wasn’t really having any of it!
