Lion cubs join the family

ZSL London Zoo's latest arrivals, two endangered lion cubs, will be seeing in 2012 as a family after being introduced to their dad Lucifer the lion.

The female cubs are the second pair to be born to the Zoo’s love-cats Abi, 12, and Lucifer, eight, in two years. And for the first time ever at the Zoo the birth was captured on camera by excited keepers.
Heidi and Indi, named by their keepers, have been slowly introduced to their 28-stone father, Lucifer.
They are now beginning to play-fight with each other and with their parents who have been very patient with the playful cubs.
The youngsters have now made their first public appearance in their outside paddock and can be seen by visitors ever day at ZSL London Zoo either in their indoor or outdoor enclosures.
